OnePlus 7T, OnePlus TV, OnePlus Pay launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus debuted new devices today at a 'Special Event' in New Delhi. The Shenzhen, China-based company has launched the OnePlus TV and OnePlus 7T in India. The OnePlus TV will be exclusively available in the Indian markets on 29 September which is a few weeks, or even months, before making its way abroad. There was an expected launch of the new OnePlus 7T (which was leaked before its launch) but the OnePlus T.V. was an awaited launch for the OnePlus fans.

OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and UFS 3.0 storage. OnePlus 7T has an improved AMOLED panel with 1000 nits of maximum brightness with a 3,800mAh battery to support that brightness. It comes with a new feature called ‘Chromatic Reading Mode’ for a more comfortable reading experience. 

For photography, the OnePlus 7T on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera, a second 16-megapixel camera, and a third 12-megapixel camera. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

As of 27th September 2019, OnePlus 7T price in India starts at Rs. 37,999 available on Amazon India from Saturday 28 September 2019.

OnePlus TV

OnePlus TV, the Q1, and Q1 Pro both feature a 55-inch QLED display which is a OnePlus custom-built panel with super-thin bezels. OnePlus TV runs on Android TV (Pie) and will receive guaranteed software updates for the next three years. Also, It comes with OnePlus Connect that lets users connect their OnePlus smartphone with a smart TV. OnePlus Connect turns the phone to a trackpad for the smart TV.

OnePlus TV Q1 is priced at Rs 69,900, while the Q1 Pro will retail at Rs 99,900. Both the models will be available to buy from Amazon India from Saturday 28 September 2019.

OnePlus TV Remote

OnePlus TV will also be accompanied by a smart remote with a Google Assistant button, volume rocker, and USB Type-C port. OnePlus has also confirmed the OnePlus TV remote will come with Bluetooth support. There’s also one button with the OnePlus logo which is expected to come with customized features.

OnePlus Pay

On stage during its India launch event of the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus formally revealed it will launch a mobile payment system called OnePlus Pay at some point in 2020. It also said it had been working on the service for some time, though at the moment, we don't know what banks and services will be compatible, or which countries the service will launch in. We also don't know when in 2020 the payment option will arrive. 

The biggest challenge OnePlus will have when it comes to its OnePlus Pay service is ensuring there are enough supported banks to make it worthwhile to use over Google Pay, for example. Both Google Pay and Apple Pay have a huge list of supported banks, making both services easy for consumers to use
