Microsoft Surface

The Microsoft October 2019 event has concluded at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in New York on 2nd October. They showed us the latest and greatest Surface hardware which includes the Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, the Surface Pro X and the dual-screen Surface Neo tablet. Along with that, we also got a glimpse of its surprise return to the smartphone market in the form of the foldable, dual-screen Microsoft Surface Duo. It seems like Surface is back with some future-ready devices with neural processing power and dual-screen for productivity.

Everything that showed up on the event

Surface devices are for everyone to create more anywhere in the world said Tom Warren. Microsoft has reimagined pretty much every part of the tech stack which can be observed pretty much just by the looks of the devices accompanied by the hardware and specialized software as they announced Windows 10X. They have transformed the way of how people interact with their devices. There is a new app model to light up these new form factors. They want to create an opportunity for everyone to feel capable, confident, be productive and more in control.

Microsoft Surface laptop 3

Surface Laptop 3 is an obvious update from the previous-gen surface laptop 2. But this time it comes with 2 distinct screen sizes 13.5-inch and 15-inch.
Inside the 13-inch model, they have placed Intel’s latest 10th Gen Core processors – either Core i5 or Core i7. The 15-inch model is the actual piece of attraction as it comes with an additional focus on the graphics processor over the standard Ryzen chips, the new chip is an AMD-based Surface Edition of the Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7.

The 13.5-inch model starts at USD 999 (approx Rs 71,000), while the 15-inch variant will begin at USD 1,199 (approx Rs 85,400). Both are open for preordering starting October 2nd while shipping will start on 22nd October.

Unfortunately, Surface Neo will not be available this year as its unveiling was just a teaser. The finished device will be available for Christmas 2020.

Like the Surface Neo, this device is still in development, the device looks built to allow multitasking without compromise. The device features two screens that fold together, rather than one bending display.
