Surface Neo
Microsoft unveiled a completely new line up of a dual-display device. The Surface Neo is a 5.6mm-thin tablet with two 9-inch displays connected by a 360-degree hinge - allowing it to be held like a book, a tablet or a laptop that provides consumers more versatility to use the device with their own need and style.
The company offers some accessories to enhance user's experience with their devices as when you need to type, there's an attachable physical keyboard, complete with a trackpad, so you don't have to try to tap-type on a touchscreen display. When it's not in use, the keyboard magnetically sticks to the back of the tablet.
The Surface Neo will run a new version of Windows, called Windows 10X which is specially designed and structured for these types of devices, and can support two apps running on different screens.
Unfortunately, Surface Neo will not be available this year as its unveiling was just a teaser. The finished device will be available for Christmas 2020.
Surface Duo
Microsoft also announced the Surface Duo which will not available until next year, a smaller, folding-smartphone version of the Surface Neo, that runs a combination of Google's Android with Microsoft apps.
Like the Surface Neo, this device is still in development, the device looks built to allow multitasking without compromise. The device features two screens that fold together, rather than one bending display, perhaps to avoid production issues 'bending' devices like the Samsung Galaxy Fold have faced.
